For those of you who are new to rogaining, or would like some helpful tips from the experts, please join us for a special training day and mini rogaine to be held in conjunction with the SunSEQer ARC Rogaine on 25-26 August 2018.

The program is aimed at both novice and semi-experienced rogainers. The program will be adapted to the number of participants, and their level of navigation experience. The training will consist of both theory and hands on exercises.

Topics to be covered include Navigation, Course Planning, Nutrition and lots more. We will have the Course Setter for the Australasian Championships available to give some insight into how a Championship course is set.

The training course will run from 1pm to 3pm on the Saturday, followed by a practical exercise from 3-5pm in groups with an experienced ‘mentor’ which will involve navigating to a few checkpoints.

After joining in the dinner and campfire at the ARC Hash House on Saturday night, camp over for the night and join in a special Mini-Rogaine (on the Australasian Championship course) on the Sunday morning, from 9am to 12pm. There will be some additional checkpoints placed specially for the 3hr to make sure you have plenty to look for.

Cost is only $50 per adult, $40 per student concession and $10 for under 14s. Entry includes training materials, waterproof map, Saturday night dinner, camping, and Sunday breakfast.

Location:  The SunSEQer Rogaine Hash House, near Manumbar, about 2.5 hours from Brisbane. Directions will be emailed to you in the lead-up to the event.
