Secrets of Speewah

3 and 6 hour foot rogaine

Date:  21 June 2025

Timing:

  • 6 hour: Check-in 7:00 am, map handout 7:15 am, start 8:00 am, finish 2:00 pm
  • 3 hour: Check-in 10.00 am, map handout 10:30 am, start 11:00 am, finish 2:00 pm

Location: Check-in will be located in the carpark of the Speewah Country Tavern, with the course set in Formartine Forest Reserve accessed adjacent to the Speewah turnoff on the Kennedy Highway.

Team Size:  Teams of 2 to 5

Categories:  Mixed, Male and Female plus Family and Novice categories

Age Classes:  Open, Under 23, Veteran, Super Veteran, Ultra Veteran 

Cost:  $25 Full, $20 Concession (full time students under 25), free for Under 14s

This event is run entirely by volunteers. As a general rule, if you’ve done more than five events without giving up the chance to compete and volunteering, it’s time to put up your hand. About

After resounding success in 2023, we return to Speewah Tavern and Formartine Forest Reserve for our second event in 2025.This foot based event will be held in an ideal area, with the Hash House location very easily accessible to all vehicle types. There is quite a lot of elevation change on course but there will be lots of close controls and plenty of tracks to make this a great event.

Thanks again to Laurie and the team at Speewah Country Tavern for hosting us and being on hand to supply hot pizza and cold beverages at the end of the race!
