The final Rogaine of 2018 – the Kauri Khaos Paddlegaine
2 hour event only: Open class event with all entrants- elite and novice beginning together. Le Mans style start.
Date: 28 October 2018 – 10 am start
Time: 2 hours: 10 am to 12 pm, map handout at 9:15 am.
Venue: Kauri Creek Campground, Lake Tinaroo
Team Size: Teams of 2 to 5
Categories: Mixed, Male and Female Teams
Age Classes: Junior, Open, Veteran, Super Veteran
plus Family and Novice categories
Cost: $15 Full, $10 Concession (full time students under 25), free Under 14s

water craft must comply with safety requirements and be positively buoyant. All kayak, canoe and SUP participants are to wear compliant PFD’s. Children are to have correctly sized PFD’s. (responsibility of parents). No motorised craft. Whilst most controls are close to the waters’ edge, the wearing of suitable closed footwear is compulsory whilst on shore.[be sure on shore]
There are limited hire craft available via T.C.C. Tinaroo Canoe Club. At a cost of $15 per person (includes PFD and paddle).
children under 14 paddling with adult/s are free however small PFD’s are a parental responsibility.
Experienced students manning an adult free hire craft will be treated as adults.
Canadian style canoes, Double and single sit on kayaks are available.

Food and sun safety:
light lunch and drink refreshments will be available from noon.
All water and food supplies prior to and during the 2 hour Paddle Rogaine are a personal responsibility.
Summer on the water means high temperatures and high Sunshine UV levels. Hats, sunglasses, sunscreen and body protection are plenty of fluids are all required so that you enjoy the event.

Lake Tinaroo is a favoured and fantastic location for Canoe Rogaining
2018 also marks the 20 year anniversary of Rogaine events held at this location.
A great excuse for all those who have been “out of the game” for a while to revisit this great location and the fun of navigating through beautiful North Queensland.
The event while cater for all levels of fitness and navigation experience most points close to the shore.
A post-event meal is included in your entry fee.
