Yarrabilby Hop 8 Hour Rogaine – 1 August
Entries are now open in the 8 hour rogaine, which will be held on 1 August in the Yarrabilba area (less than 1 hour from Brisbane / Gold Coast). We are crossing our fingers and toes that there won’t be a change in Covid-19 restrictions between now and the event, since our volunteers have worked hard to get this event in place for you.

Entries are open on the event page, Please do make sure to follow the official health guidance, we have developed a Covid-safe plan which is available on the event page.

Nav-X Metrogaine Washup
Those who travelled to Noosa for the Metrogaine were treated to a fun and scenic event, you can check out the results and photos on the results page. Thanks to Linda, John and Oskar for all your efforts putting the event together.

The Granite Belt Duet – 6 hour foot rogaine and 6 hour cyclegaine over two days – 7-8 November
We’re planning a very special weekend of fun in the famous Granite Belt, incorporating a 6hr foot rogaine on the Saturday and a 3/6hr cyclegaine on the Sunday. You can choose to do just one of the events, or both. Camping will be included in your entry fee but there is also the option of booking accommodation with one of the many local accommodation providers.

Our 6hr foot rogaining event is great for families and beginner rogainers, getting back to the Hash House before dark to enjoy dinner by the campfire.

Our 3/6hr cyclegaine event is always popular, and will take in some of the very scenic granite country including forestry and farmland.

Entries will open on the event page soon.

Gundabooka Rogaine – 5-6 September
The NSW rogaining association is planning to run a 24 hour rogaine in the Gundabooka National Park in early September, near Bourke in western NSW. It’s about equidistant from Brisbane and Sydney, about 900km from both, so it would be great to see some Queenslanders take part. And with no 24 hour option in Queensland this year, this might be the best option you’ll have to get your 24hr rogaining fix! Here is the event page.

Raid Events
The 24hr Rogue Raid will take place on 29-30 August. The Wildfire Raid will be held on 19 September, and the next Mojo Raid will be held in 2021.

Regular MapRunF Events
Orienteering Queensland has been offering plenty of metrogaine-style urban events for the past few months, check out the Night Nav and MapRun Parks pages for info. You can also try out dozens of old courses, and make your own, using the MapRunF app.

Rogaining Gear – What to Wear
Another instalment from Tristan White over at NSWRA, this time on gear for cold weather (not needed in Qld, right?!).

The MTBO Club returns to the Log Cabin in August for their first decent event this year. There’ll be all the usual age class, plus social/teams, Score and E-bike ones too. The event will be limited to 97 entrants to comply with current COVID Safe plans, so register early to avoid FOMO!
