SEQ Bulletin – June 2020

Noosa Nav-X Metrogaine – 20 June
Last chance to enter the Noosa Nav-X Metrogaine, with 3hr and 6hr options. Entries close on Wednesday night this week. We all know how beautiful the Noosa coastline is, this is a great opportunity to enjoy the great winter weather in a stunning part of SEQ.

The event will be run with staggered starts to make sure that no large groups are formed on the day. The event will be run using the usual question-and-answer format but will use smartphones to help collate your answers and calculate results at the end of the event.

Entries are open on the event page. Please do make sure to follow the official guidance to keep everyone Covid-safe. The official roadmap for easing of restrictions is a useful reference for the resumption of activities in Queensland.

8 hour Rogaine – 18 July
The organising team are working hard to bring you the first bush rogaine of the year, in the Yarrabilba area. We are hoping to confirm permits to enable it to go ahead on 18 July, and aim to open entries this week. Keep your eye on the event page for updates.

We’re also hoping to hold another bush rogaine on 1 August, here’s the event calendar.

Gundabooka Rogaine – 5-6 September
Looking for an adventurous rogaining experience? The NSW rogaining association are hoping to run a 24 hour rogaine in the Gundabooka National Park in early September, near Bourke in western NSW. It’s about equidistant from Brisbane and Sydney, about 900km from both, so it would be great to see some Queenslanders take part. And with no 24 hour option in Queensland this year, this might be the best option you’ll have to get your 24hr rogaining fix! More info in this Facebook post.
